Responsibilities
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) dashboards for suspicious network activity
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and participate in incident response drills
- Implement basic firewall configurations and access control policies
- Analyze malware samples using sandbox environments
- Collaborate with senior analysts on threat intelligence research
- Conduct security awareness training for non-technical staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid U.S. work authorization and ability to pass background check
