Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential incidents
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under supervision
- Document security incidents, remediation actions, and maintain audit trails
- Assist in implementing network security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness training
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security best practices
- Participate in incident response drills and tabletop exercises
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Valid U.S. driver's license (for occasional on-site duties)
