Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Assist in incident response procedures including documentation and forensic analysis
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and runbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies through continuous learning
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and security frameworks
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
