Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Assist in incident response procedures including forensic analysis and mitigation
- Implement security controls aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Document security policies and procedures for regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy security patches and updates
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite)
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Ability to analyze security logs and identify anomalies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- US citizenship required for government contracts
