Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade security architectures across cloud and hybrid environments
- Lead incident response operations for complex cyber threats including ransomware and APTs
- Develop automation frameworks for security monitoring using SIEM and SOAR platforms
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for critical infrastructure
- Mentor junior engineers and establish security best practices across development lifecycle
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, NIST)
- Present security posture reports to C-level executives and board members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering or SOC operations
- Active CISSP, CISM, or OSCP certification (or equivalent)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerized environments
- Proficiency in threat hunting methodologies and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation
- Experience with security orchestration and incident response tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike)
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (required for client projects)
