Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist with incident response, including documentation and remediation support
- Perform vulnerability scans and security assessments on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices
- Research emerging threats and contribute to security awareness initiatives
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports
- Participate in penetration testing exercises under supervision
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
