Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential threats
- Assist in implementing security controls and vulnerability management protocols
- Document security incidents and participate in forensic analysis procedures
- Collaborate with network teams to identify and remediate security gaps
- Stay updated on emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reporting
- Support compliance initiatives (NIST, ISO 27001) and security audits
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical problem-solving and attention to detail
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for compliance roles
