Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and log data using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate potential security incidents and escalate critical threats
- Document security events and incident response procedures
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing coordination
- Participate in security awareness training campaigns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security technologies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 SOC environment
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Valid U.S. driver's license for occasional site visits
