Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under guidance
- Assist in incident response and forensics investigations
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, VPNs, access controls)
- Document security procedures and create compliance reports
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve security incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Fundamental knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving threats
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
