Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response procedures for security breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies)
- Collaborate with IT teams on security hardening initiatives
- Provide weekend shift coverage (Fri-Sun 3PM-11PM)
- Participate in threat hunting and forensic investigations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification
- Expertise in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms
- Strong knowledge of NIST and CIS frameworks
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Willingness to relocate to Houston area
