Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist in investigating security incidents and documenting findings
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under guidance
- Implement security controls and maintain compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO)
- Participate in security awareness training and knowledge sharing sessions
- Create and maintain security documentation and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security posture across infrastructure
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- 0-2 years of relevant experience or internship experience
