Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate potential security incidents using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Document security events and maintain incident response logs
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement security controls for cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness campaigns
- Stay current on emerging threats via threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Understanding of common attack vectors (phishing, malware, ransomware)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced SOC environment
- Strong written communication skills for incident reporting
- Passion for continuous learning in cybersecurity
