Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems, networks, and data for suspicious activity using SIEM tools
- Assist with incident response documentation and basic forensic analysis
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under guidance
- Implement security controls and configurations for cloud/on-premise systems
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
- Collaborate with senior analysts on threat intelligence research
- Document security policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred (training provided if not certified)
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (sponsorship provided)
- Valid US driver's license (for occasional client visits)
