Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Assist in incident response procedures including forensic analysis
- Implement and maintain security controls for cloud and on-premise systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop security awareness programs
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and mitigation techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP Associate certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with security tools (Wireshark, Metasploit, Nessus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
