Responsibilities
- Data Mining & Cleaning: Gather, clean, and preprocess large datasets to ensure accuracy and integrity for analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform advanced statistical modeling to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop compelling dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- SQL Querying: Write complex SQL queries to extract data from relational databases and support ad-hoc reporting needs.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current reporting processes and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product and marketing teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of professional experience in data analysis or a similar analytical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Snowflake) and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Visualization: Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Location: Must be authorized to work in the United States and based in or willing to work in Illinois.
