Apex Data Systems is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our growing team in Los Angeles. This role is specifically designed for professionals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are available to work during our critical weekend shift (Friday through Monday). As a Weekend Shift Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining data integrity and providing critical insights that drive our client's strategic decisions. You will work closely with our operations and product teams to ensure that reporting cycles are seamless and data visualization standards are upheld.
Responsibilities
- Data Mining & Cleaning: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) large datasets from various sources using SQL and Python to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Dashboard Creation: Design and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau and Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders.
- Reporting: Generate comprehensive weekly and monthly reports that highlight trends, anomalies, and growth opportunities for the management team.
- Database Management: Collaborate with IT to optimize database queries and improve data storage structures for faster retrieval.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present complex analytical findings to non-technical audiences in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current data workflows and propose automated solutions to increase team productivity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data analysis or a similar analytical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL (Advanced), Python (Pandas, NumPy), and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Visualization Tools: Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during the weekend shift.
- Availability: Must be available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (or a 4-day compressed work week).
