Responsibilities
- Advanced Data Mining: Extract, clean, and integrate large datasets from various sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy for analysis.
- Statistical Modeling: Perform complex statistical analysis and predictive modeling to forecast trends and identify business opportunities.
- Visualization & Reporting: Design and develop interactive dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualize complex data sets for executive stakeholders.
- SQL Optimization: Write efficient, optimized SQL queries and scripts to retrieve data and support ETL processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product and marketing teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and translate data insights into actionable strategies.
- Audit & Quality Control: Continuously monitor data quality and troubleshoot issues to maintain high standards of reporting.
- Market Research: Analyze industry trends and competitive landscapes to provide strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation.
- Visualization Tools: Demonstrated expertise in using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for data visualization.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex analytical findings to non-technical audiences clearly and concisely.
- Location: Must reside in California (San Francisco Bay Area preferred) with the ability to work in-office 2-3 days a week.
- Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to identifying business problems and solutions.
