Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud infrastructure and applications
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and risk assessments
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement security controls in CI/CD pipelines
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and recommend remediation strategies
- Stay updated on emerging threats and regulatory requirements (NIST, GDPR, CCPA)
- Mentor junior team members and conduct security awareness training for stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity roles with hands-on experience in threat detection and incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (required)
- Proficiency in cloud security tools (AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel, GCP Security Command Center)
- Strong understanding of network security protocols (TCP/IP, IPSec, VPNs)
- Experience with security automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
