Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection systems
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents including malware, ransomware, and APT attacks
- Conduct forensic analysis of security events using tools like Splunk and Wireshark
- Collaborate with day shift analysts for seamless incident handovers and documentation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and recommend mitigation strategies
- Maintain security posture through continuous threat intelligence monitoring
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC operations background
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud security
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting and shift handovers
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
