Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security anomalies and potential threats
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with detailed documentation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for incident escalation and resolution
- Implement firewall rules and intrusion detection system configurations
- Conduct forensic analysis on compromised systems
- Generate security reports for executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, preferably in SOC or incident response
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools and threat detection methodologies
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
