Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, EDR) and investigate alerts during night shift operations
- Conduct incident response, threat hunting, and forensic analysis for security breaches
- Collaborate with global teams to implement security protocols and patches
- Generate detailed incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current on emerging threats and vulnerabilities through continuous research
- Participate in red team exercises and penetration testing initiatives
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC/Security Operations Center or threat detection roles
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
