Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for 24/7 threat detection and incident response
- Conduct forensic investigations on security breaches and anomalous network activity
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection platforms
- Collaborate with global teams during critical incident escalations
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive leadership
- Regularly patch and update systems during low-traffic maintenance windows
- Develop playbooks for emerging threat vectors and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- 3+ years in SOC operations or cybersecurity incident response
- CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification (required)
- Proficiency in network analysis (Wireshark, Zeek) and threat intelligence platforms
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Experience with NIST 800-53 compliance frameworks
