Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust network security architectures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
- Conduct proactive threat hunting using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and advanced analytics
- Lead incident response operations for security breaches, including forensic investigation and remediation
- Develop and execute penetration testing methodologies to identify vulnerabilities in client environments
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud security controls
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across 24/7 operations with rapid escalation protocols
- Create comprehensive security documentation including risk assessments and compliance reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, network security, or incident response
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Nessus, or Metasploit
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks, GDPR, and HIPAA compliance requirements
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations with exceptional problem-solving skills
