Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced network security architectures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Lead incident response activities including threat hunting, containment, and forensic analysis
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into DevOps pipelines
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and escalate critical incidents
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in network security or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC) required
- Expertise in SIEM platforms, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management tools
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and zero-trust architectures
- Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure during security incidents
