Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
- Develop and maintain robust incident response plans to mitigate cyber threats effectively.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Document security configurations and maintain detailed logs for auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network defense, or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize threats in a high-pressure environment.
