Responsibilities
- Implement and manage advanced security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premise environments
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and coordinate incident response
- Develop security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
- Document security policies, procedures, and maintain compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Lead security awareness training programs for cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or information security roles
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container security (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong hands-on experience with SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and vulnerability scanners
- Proven track record in incident response and forensic investigations
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
