Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement remediation strategies
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (NIST, HIPAA)
- Provide security awareness training to staff and promote best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend defensive improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in security operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with experience in threat detection methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
