Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms, prioritizing critical incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise systems
- Develop and implement incident response protocols for data breaches
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines
- Document security procedures and create executive-level threat intelligence reports
- Maintain compliance frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, and NYDFS Part 500
- Lead security awareness training sessions for technical and non-technical staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure), and OS hardening
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to maintain TS/SCI clearance (or eligibility to obtain)
