Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems, networks, and applications for vulnerabilities and intrusions using SIEM tools
- Investigate security incidents, analyze malware, and implement remediation protocols
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to strengthen defenses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and compliance frameworks
- Provide real-time threat intelligence and emergency response during security breaches
- Generate comprehensive security reports for stakeholders and executive leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on SIEM/SOAR tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Certification required: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (with Security+ preferred)
- Expertise in network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to security incidents on short notice
