Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events via SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, or similar).
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and phishing attempts.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT operations and software development teams to patch vulnerabilities.
- Generate and present security reports to management and stakeholders.
- Participate in tabletop exercises and red team/blue team simulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations, network security, or penetration testing.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
- Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
