Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events across the network and cloud environments.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses.
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA), and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Generate and present detailed security reports to stakeholders and management.
- Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency with security tools such as Splunk, FireEye, CrowdStrike, or similar SIEM/EDR solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
