Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec) for security incidents and anomalous activity
- Conduct forensic investigations and coordinate incident response procedures
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and risk assessments
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing on enterprise systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry compliance requirements (NIST, GDPR)
- Present security metrics to leadership through executive dashboards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with security tools: IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with Windows/Linux system hardening and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Excellent written/verbal communication for technical/non-technical audiences
