Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR standards
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Research emerging threats and recommend defensive improvements
- Manage firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network protocols, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Strong knowledge of incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Experience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
