Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM/SOAR platforms
- Lead incident response for critical security breaches with 15-minute SLAs
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments quarterly
- Develop zero-trust architecture frameworks for hybrid cloud environments
- Mentor junior analysts and drive security awareness initiatives
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and Texas state regulations
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in threat detection/response
- CISSP, CEH, or OSCP certification required
- Expertise in Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, or Splunk
- Experience with AWS/Azure security services and Kubernetes
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Proven track record in SOC operations and forensic investigations
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance (US citizenship required)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
