Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across enterprise networks during weekend shifts
- Incident response coordination for security breaches and cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption)
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports and remediation plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Experience with Windows/Linux system hardening and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills for threat detection and incident investigation
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting
- Willingness to relocate to San Diego area with relocation assistance eligibility
