Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct incident response and forensic investigations for weekend security events
- Implement and maintain firewall configurations and intrusion detection systems
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and generate executive-level reports
- Collaborate with global security teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SIEM operations
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with network security tools (Snort, Wireshark, Nmap)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and compliance frameworks (NIST, GDPR)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with on-call rotation
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in high-pressure scenarios
- Valid US passport and willingness to relocate to New York City
