Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security alerts during weekend shifts, prioritizing critical incidents
- Conduct threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework and advanced analytics techniques
- Perform incident response coordination including containment, eradication, and forensic analysis
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive summaries for leadership review
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and preventive measures
- Stay current on emerging threats through continuous research and threat intelligence sharing
- Participate in weekend disaster recovery simulations and security posture assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SOC operations
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux systems and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with incident response protocols (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for security documentation
