Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and SIEM platforms 24/7, investigating anomalies and responding to incidents
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches, documenting findings and implementing remediation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies through continuous training
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical incidents under pressure
- Valid US government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with weekend/shift-based security operations preferred
