Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with rapid containment protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and forensic documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security frameworks
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure
- Excellent written communication for incident documentation
