Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and networks for vulnerabilities, intrusions, and suspicious activities using SIEM tools
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and prepare detailed incident reports
- Implement security protocols and best practices across cloud and on-premise environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop threat mitigation strategies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and countermeasures
- Document security procedures and maintain compliance with industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architectures, and threat intelligence
- Experience with Windows/Linux environments and scripting (Python/Bash)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
