Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct incident investigations, forensic analysis, and develop mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) or threat detection
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Expertise in network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
