Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Investigate security breaches and coordinate incident response activities to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
