Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) for security incidents and anomalies
- Conduct threat hunting and forensic investigations using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Develop and execute incident response playbooks for cyber attacks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical assets
- Generate executive security reports with actionable remediation recommendations
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls (firewalls, EDR)
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in SOC operations or cybersecurity analysis
- Certified CISSP, Security+, or CEH (or equivalent experience)
- Expertise in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure security services)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
