Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and recommend remediation actions
- Stay current with emerging threats and cybersecurity trends
- Assist with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or analyst role
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint protection
- Experience with incident response protocols and threat hunting
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize in high-pressure situations
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and network architecture
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
