Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate incident response activities
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network protocols
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
