Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to detect and respond to potential breaches in real-time.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and configuration reviews to mitigate security risks.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including root cause analysis and post-incident reporting.
- Manage security compliance activities, including audits, risk assessments, and policy enforcement (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT operations to patch systems, harden network configurations, and ensure secure access controls.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees to foster a culture of security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Certifications are highly preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection systems.
- Experience with incident response methodologies and digital forensics tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
