Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols to protect sensitive data and critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Document security incidents and create detailed forensic reports for stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Assist in incident response planning and disaster recovery exercises
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity threat detection and incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in threat analysis
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to technical and non-technical audiences
