Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and remediation opportunities
- Develop and implement security controls, policies, and procedures aligned with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment of network infrastructure and cloud solutions
- Prepare detailed incident response reports and executive security briefings
- Lead security awareness training programs to enhance organizational cyber hygiene
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint security platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
