Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies, incident response plans)
- Lead incident response activities including threat hunting and forensic analysis
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls across cloud and hybrid environments
- Perform security awareness training for employees and stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto/Fortinet), and EDR solutions
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in threat detection
- Excellent written/verbal communication for technical/non-technical audiences
