Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and implement remediation measures
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security solutions
- Participate in security audits and compliance assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity analysis or SOC operations
- Industry certifications: Security+, CISSP, or CompTIA CySA+ preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat detection platforms
- Strong understanding of network security protocols and encryption standards
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid US driver's license and ability to travel 10% of the time
